Chiefs' Kingdom!

Hey, Chiefs' Kingdom just wanted to let you know that I am currently taking a break from writing content.  I'm just burnt out from this amazing season and want to enjoy the ride like everyone else.  I do appreciate everyone that visited this place!  I will probably post a couple more things down the road before I decide if I want to continue this site next season.  If you are still interested in my Chiefs "thoughts" on the playoffs you can still hear them on the Arrowhead Fanatic Podcast.

A Quick Look At Chiefs vs Colts

The Kansas City Chiefs host the Indianapolis Colts in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs! This matchup pits two of the hottest quarterbacks in the league against each other in Patrick Mahomes and Andrew Luck. On defense the Colts boast the tenth best scoring defense in football, while the Chiefs are just twenty fourth. The Colts look to be a well rounded team with the fifth best scoring offense to go with their defense. The Chiefs, on the other hand, have the best offense in football and scored 132 more points than the Colts this season. The Chiefs’ defense will get to play in front of their home crowd and look to play inspired, this should be a great game.

Breaking Records, Taking Names, and Winning Games (Chiefs 2018 Statistical Breakdown)

I’m excited, it’s time to examine the Chiefs’ 2018 regular season stats. This year has been great so far with the team finishing the season at 12-4 and that ties them for the second best win total in Chiefs’ history. This Chiefs’ offense scored the most points in team history with 565, that is 81 more points than in 2003 their next best season. The 565 points also make this team the third highest scoring offense in NFL history behind the 2007 Patriots (589) and the 2013 Broncos (606). The Chiefs’ defense on the other hand, allowed 421 points which is fifth worst in team history. The four Chiefs’ teams that had worse defenses combined for a 15-49 record, which makes the fact that this years team went 12-4 incredible. It’s also amazing they still ended this season with a +144 point differential which is the Chiefs second best margin since 1969!
